Location – 4 Located in the middle of Loring Park and Uptown neighborhoods, the Semple Mansion is close to a variety of fun restaurants, bars, cafes for guests to visit in between the ceremony and reception, all while skipping downtown traffic and parking inconveniences. Additionally, the mansion is close to both Loring Park and the Sculpture Garden – two awesome places to take bride and groom and bridal party pictures!
Photo Aesthetic – 5 Inside and outside of the mansion, there is no shortage of awesome and unique spots to take pictures. You can take all of your photos in the mansion if you prefer.
Guest Accessibility – 4 It’s easy for guests to get here (light traffic if any), and there’s great free parking all around! The only downfall is that if you need an elevator, the one that they have is quite slow.

Location – 3 Located in between the Lowry Hill East and Phillips neighborhoods, the Gale Mansion enjoys the ease of being in more residential Minneapolis. Besides having a charming park right across the street, it’s a little farther away from other exciting photography spots.
Photo Aesthetic – 3 The outside areas of the Gale Mansion are gorgeous. The inside is nice as well, but smaller and less aesthetically pleasing – basically, there are less inside options. If you have hoping to have beautiful outdoor photos, this mansion is for you. However, it’s a little bit risky to have a venue with only prime outdoor spots, in case of rain or other unfavorable weather.
